Kenya bush safari packages from Sense of Adventure are private, fully guided trips into Kenya’s wild places, from a single overnight in Amboseli to a two-week journey across eight regions. We are a licensed Nairobi safari company, and every trip below runs in your own 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof and a dedicated driver-guide, with no shared minibuses and no fixed group departures. This page sorts our real trips by length, so you can compare them quickly, see what each one is best for and find the right fit for your dates and budget.

Why Book Kenya Bush Safari Packages with Us?
Kenya is one of the easiest countries in Africa to plan a safari. Parks are close to Nairobi, roads and airstrips reach most camps, and the wildlife is varied, with the Big Five, huge elephant herds and, between July and October, the Great Migration. Our Kenya bush safari packages take the work out of the planning. We choose the route, book the camps, arrange park fees and send you one written, itemised quote.
- Private by default: your own vehicle, driver-guide and pace, so you decide when to leave camp and how long to stay at a sighting.
- Real trips, real prices: every one of the Kenya bush safari packages below is a trip we operate, and prices are shown per person where we publish one.
- Road or fly-in: we drive most routes, and several trips use light aircraft to save a day on the road.
- One local team: we collect you in Nairobi, look after you in the bush and return you to the airport.
- Safety built in: every trip includes AMREF Flying Doctors evacuation cover.
If you would rather start from a destination than a length, see our guides to the Masai Mara safari and the Amboseli safari, or compare everything on our Kenya safari packages page.
Short Kenya Bush Safari Packages: 1 to 3 Days
Short Kenya bush safari packages suit travellers with a layover, a business trip to Nairobi or a beach holiday that needs a taste of the bush. Two days is enough for a real overnight safari, and three days gives you a full day in the field. Prices are per person.
| Trip | Length | From | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-Day Amboseli Safari from Nairobi | 2 days | USD 520 | The quickest overnight safari: elephants, a sunset game drive and Kilimanjaro at sunrise |
| 2-Day Tsavo & Taita Hills Safari from Mombasa | 2 days | USD 420 | Coast visitors: Tsavo East, the Taita Hills sanctuary and a lodge night overlooking a waterhole |
| 3-Day Masai Mara Safari: Kenya Big Five | 3 days | USD 650 | First-timers who want the Mara in a long weekend |
| 3 Day Masai Mara Safari Package | 3 days | On request | A second three-day Mara option; ask us for the current rate |
| Tsavo East & West Safari | 3 days | USD 600 | Red-dust elephants in Tsavo East, then volcanic hills and Mzima Springs in Tsavo West |
| Samburu Cultural & Wildlife Experience | 3 days | USD 850 | Meeting the Samburu people and tracking northern wildlife |
Short trips rely on an early start and a well-planned route, which is exactly what a private driver-guide provides. If you only have a day, our 2-day Amboseli safari is the most efficient way to see elephants in front of Mount Kilimanjaro, while the 3-day Masai Mara safari is the shortest route to Kenya’s best big cat country. We explain the reserve in our Masai Mara safari guide.
Mid-Length Kenya Bush Safari Packages: 4 to 7 Days
This is where most guests land when choosing Kenya bush safari packages. Four to seven days lets you combine the Masai Mara with one or two other parks without spending every day in the vehicle. The table covers our general Kenya bush safari packages first and our specialist photography, culture and walking trips after.
| Trip | Length | From | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru Camping Safari | 4 days | USD 590 | The best-value way to see the Mara: campsites and freshly cooked meals |
| Maasai Cultural & Wildlife Safari | 4 days | USD 1,100 | Big Five game drives with an immersion into Maasai culture |
| Tsavo & Amboseli Safari from Mombasa | 4 days | USD 1,050 | Coast guests: Tsavo East, Tsavo West and Amboseli, back to your beach hotel |
| Amboseli Elephant Photographic Safari | 4 days | USD 1,800 | Photographers who want Amboseli’s herds against Kilimanjaro |
| Kenya Family Safari: Nairobi, Naivasha & Mara | 5 days | USD 1,290 | A first family safari, with baby elephants and giraffes in Nairobi, hippos at Naivasha and big cats in the Mara |
| Great Migration Photographic Safari | 5 days | USD 2,400 | River-crossing photography with a specialist photographic guide |
| Northern Kenya Cultural Safari | 5 days | USD 1,500 | Samburu and Laikipia, with time among the Samburu people |
| Kenya Group Safari: Mara, Nakuru & Naivasha | 6 days | USD 1,390 | A classic circuit at a relaxed pace: three nights in the Mara, rhinos at Nakuru, hippos at Naivasha |
| Big Cats Photographic Safari | 6 days | USD 2,600 | Tracking lions, cheetahs and leopards in the Masai Mara |
| Photographic Safari: Masai Mara & Great Rift | 6 days | USD 2,200 | Dawn-to-dusk flexibility for guests who shoot seriously |
| Kenya Classic Safari: Amboseli, Naivasha & Mara | 7 days | USD 1,650 | Kenya’s classic route: elephants, hippos and three nights in the Mara |
| Laikipia & Masai Mara Walking Safari | 7 days | USD 4,200 | Guided walks in Laikipia and a Mara conservancy, with fly-in transfers |
Among our Kenya bush safari packages, for most first-time visitors we suggest the 7-day classic safari, because it adds Amboseli’s elephants and Lake Naivasha to the Mara. Travellers who care most about value should look at the 4-day camping safari, which is our lowest-priced Mara trip. Families will find the 5-day family safari paced for children, and anyone planning around the herds should read our Mara guide before picking dates.
Long Kenya Bush Safari Packages: 8 Days and Over
Longer Kenya bush safari packages let you slow down, add more regions and stay two nights in the parks that deserve it. These Kenya bush safari packages cover Kenya’s rhino sanctuaries, northern reserves and, on two trips, Tanzania’s Serengeti.
| Trip | Length | From | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kenya Birding Tour: Rift Valley Lakes, Kakamega & Mara | 8 days | USD 2,050 | Specialist birders: flamingo lakes, rainforest and savannah |
| Kenya Highlights Safari: Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Nakuru & Mara | 9 days | USD 2,350 | Four of Kenya’s best wildlife areas, from the dry north to the Mara plains |
| Kenya & Tanzania Classic Safari | 10 days | USD 3,500 | Linking the Masai Mara with the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater |
| Great Migration Safari: Kenya & Tanzania | 12 days | USD 4,600 | Following the herds across two countries, with river crossings in both |
| 14 Day Kenya Grand Slam Signature Safari | 14 days | USD 4,650 | Eight regions from Samburu to Tsavo in one unhurried journey |
The 14-day Grand Slam safari is our most complete Kenya route. It runs from Samburu through Ol Pejeta, Solio, Lake Nakuru, the Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and Tsavo, and it is also the best way to compare Kenya’s regions side by side. If you have nine days, the 9-day highlights safari covers four of them. For northern wildlife, read our Samburu safari guide, and for the southern parks see Tsavo safari.
Luxury Kenya Bush Safari Packages
Luxury Kenya bush safari packages use higher-grade lodges and conservancy camps, and several fly you between parks to save time on the road. These are our premium trips. For more on the style of stay, see our luxury Kenya safari page and the full list of Kenya lodges and camps.
| Trip | Length | From | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fly-in Masai Mara Luxury Safari | 4 days | USD 3,200 | Skipping the road and flying straight into a top-tier Mara camp |
| Laikipia & Loisaba Conservancy Luxury Safari | 5 days | USD 3,600 | Walking, horseback, night drives and star-beds under the sky |
| Ol Pejeta & Masai Mara Luxury Conservancy Safari | 6 days | USD 3,900 | Northern white rhinos, then exclusive Mara game viewing |
| Kenya Luxury Big Five Safari: Mara, Amboseli & Samburu | 8 days | USD 4,800 | Three iconic reserves in comfort |
| 10 Days Luxury Kenya Safari: Samburu, Solio, Nakuru & Mara | 10 days | On request | Luxury lodges across five wildlife areas; ask us for the current rate |
| Luxury Fly-in Safari: Mara, Laikipia & Lamu | 12 days | USD 8,900 | Private conservancies, then a barefoot-luxury finale on Lamu |
Prices for these Kenya bush safari packages change with season and camp, and conservancy fees in the peak months raise the rate, so treat the figures as a starting point and ask for a dated quote.
How a Private Land Cruiser Safari Works
Understanding the format helps you judge any of our Kenya bush safari packages. Everything below applies to a private trip, as opposed to a shared group departure.
Your vehicle and driver-guide
You travel in a 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, so you can stand to look and photograph. Each guest has a window seat, and the vehicle stays with you for the whole trip. Your driver-guide speaks English, finds the animals, explains their behaviour and handles park rules and logistics. On fly-in trips, a local guide meets you at the airstrip.
A typical day on safari
- Early morning: a dawn game drive, when cats and other predators are most active and the light is soft.
- Late morning: back to camp or lodge for breakfast and rest.
- Afternoon: a second drive, often with sundowners or a picnic in the bush.
- Evening: dinner at camp. Camps escort guests after dark, so you can relax.
With our Kenya bush safari packages the vehicle is yours, so you can stay longer at a lion sighting or skip a stop you are tired of. Our private Kenya safari page explains the format further.

Best Time for Kenya Bush Safari Packages
Kenya’s wildlife can be seen all year, and the best month depends on what matters most to you. June to October is the dry season, with the best overall game viewing and the Great Migration in the Masai Mara from about July to October. January to March is hot and dry, quieter and good for big cats. April to May is the long rains: fewer visitors and lower rates, with muddy roads in places. November and early December bring the short rains and green landscapes.
- Migration and peak season (July to October): book 6 to 9 months ahead, since camps fill first.
- Quiet and warm (January to March): good cats and fewer vehicles.
- Green season (April, May and November): lower prices and fewer visitors, with some rain.
- Festive weeks: busy, so book early.
For the herds, see our Masai Mara safari page. Elephants in Amboseli are reliable throughout the year, as we describe in our Amboseli safari guide.
