For Germany, the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education (KMK) publishes the dates for every Land. In 2027 the Easter breaks mostly fall between 22 March and 2 or 3 April, with variations: Bayern is 22 March to 2 April, Baden-Württemberg 30 March to 3 April, Hamburg 1 to 12 March, Schleswig-Holstein 30 March to 10 April and Saarland 30 March to 9 April. Summer is staggered: the earliest start is 28 June in Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz and Saarland, and the latest end is 13 September in Bayern, where the break runs from 2 August.

Other summer breaks fall in between. Baden-Württemberg runs from 29 July to 11 September, Nordrhein-Westfalen from 19 July to 31 August, and Berlin and Brandenburg from 1 July to 14 August. Because German and Dutch summer breaks start in late June or July, they fall in the Mara’s higher-fee period, so Easter and the May holiday are the value choices. The UK and the USA: General Months

England has no single national set of school dates, because councils and schools set their own, so we do not quote exact days for the UK. In general, UK families plan around a half term in mid-February, the Easter break in late March or April, a late-May half term, the long summer break from late July into early September, an October half term and Christmas.
